West Pride

West Pride is the non-profit organisation behind Gothenburg's and western Sweden's largest LGBTQ+ festival, held every June. During festival week it stages Pride Park at Bananpiren, a wide-ranging Pride House cultural and debate programme, and the Saturday parade that winds from Gustav Adolfs Torg down Kungsportsavenyn to Götaplatsen, drawing tens of thousands. Beyond the festival, West Pride works year-round across the Västra Götaland region with exhibitions, school outreach and human-rights programming, making it one of Sweden's most established Pride organisers, second in scale only to Stockholm's.
