Firuzağa Bath

We had a lot of fun!
We were here today. Before we went to this place we saw on the internet that payment by card was possible. Our first impression was okay. We both have booked the hammam and the foammmassage. I’ve booked the sceub and my partner the oil massage. We liked everything. Despite the fact that the asked him if he want an erotic massage. After that we walked around. When we start paying the owner said that payment by card wasn’t possible and that he did not have a payment terminal. We start complaining and told him that we saw on the internet that payment by card was possible. But we have to pay anyway. We’ve 500 Lira short, al our money was there at the cassier. And, suprise, suddenly there was a payment terminal for the last 500 Lira’s. This wasn’t honestly of the owner and we told him so. The only, rude, answer we get; “i prefer cash”. And after the last payment he turned around. This was rwally the first and the last time beïng there. In Turkey there is not much for gay people and a guy like this owner isn’t really helpfull for (gay-)tourist.
I spent two weeks in Istanbul and went to this place three times. The four time was before I left, and they gave me a locker in the hallway. There were private spaces available, but they told me they were only for locals with reservations, and that I could get one if I paid 1000 TL instead of 500 TL. Is this the level of service for someone who already spent 5,000 TL? The place is spacious, but it's full of mold everywhere, the showers are broken, and the areas are very poorly cleaned. The place is for a cheap bath experience but you can spend the same or a little more in Aga Hamami for example.
I liked it
An authentic Turkish bath, steeped in tradition and history. I particularly appreciated the cleanliness and genuine atmosphere, as it caters mainly to locals, ensuring reasonable prices. The experience was magnificent; the infrastructure is remarkably well-preserved considering its age.
