You’re uncontactable, you expect people to book not knowing which room they can have? Your phone messages directly to the hotel constantly go to answer phone, bespoke hotels dont answer any emails , and you expect booking.Com to fill your hotel. Do not use! It all looks fantastic but none of it is available!

What a magical place! You really do switch off here, quaint lanes, a local community run pub called The Ship with amazing food and our gorgeous hotel The Lugger right on the harbour. Perfect for South West coast path walks as the path runs right through the village. We didn’t realise but the hotel has a main building and then little cottages they own around the harbour. We were in the Lookout which was perfect to sit with a glass of wine and watch the sea. The only little improvement would be to add a little hotel tuck shop with water & snacks, & fridges in the rooms as there is no shop in the village. We will come back!

A hotel is made by it's staff and this hotel is made by it's staff. A great welcome and could not be more helpful. The hotel is in a tiny bay, and it's pretty impossible to not enjoy a sea view. There is one other pub in the village, with a few other places within a drive. Rooms well decorated, but a couple of areas where a little maintenance could help. Food in the restaurant is very good, with most tables overlooking the harbour. Overall we had a lovely time.

What a beautiful hotel! Bernie (GM) and his team, made our stay absolutely wonderful. From the moment we checked, Alison took us to our room and made us feel we were the only ones staying in the hotel. Dinner was amazing, Breakfast was fantastic sitting by the window watching the sea. We were looking forward to our stay amd we were not disappointed. Thank you so much!

The Lugger is at the end of the road.. and yet the horizon is open and infinitely large! Was brought there because it was a friend s favorite place! Everything you can expect: lovely rooms, long walks, delicious cuisine and extremely caring staff! Alison at the reception desk is an exquisite human! A must!

Excellent stay at The Lugger. Super food, accommodation and staff. Special thanks to the young lady receptionist and the bar lady and also to the young man with great hair (think Agador in The Birdcage) for his unique waitering style....all an absolute credit to a very stylish and friendly place! Thank you all!😁

A splendid location on the end of the slipway at Portloe, ideal for those undertaking the coastal path walking adventure, or if you just want to chill out. Food is splendid and the staff are welcoming and friendly.

If I could do 4.5 stars I would. Can’t beat the location and the accommodation was lovely. We had dinner one night and breakfast one morning (not included in cost). Food is expensive and restaurant staff weren’t attentive enough with large gaps between sitting and ordering drinks then getting drinks then eating. Our dinner starters were poor, however mains were nice. The lady on front desk was so lovely and welcoming.

Wow, wow and wow! The people 👏👏👏 (especially the Ab Fab 💙💙💙Guy) sooo warm, sooo friendly and sooo relaxed … The food 👏👏👏 cannot overstate how delicious … The location sooo beautiful 🤩😍🤩Overall just WOW 🙏

If you want an upscale food location, with or without accommodation, in coastal south Cornwall, I don't think you can do better than this. Impeccable service is part of the deal. Portloe's unique charm is another.

Fabulous location, lovely friendly helpful staff, so overall a fabulous hotel. Room was very comfy and with a special view. Big thanks to Alison on reception & Debbie.
