The Savoy

I spent a night here to have drinks and dinner to celebrate my 53rd birthday. I had not returned to the Savoy since 2019. My memory was that of a fantastic stay then but this time I was simply amazed by the level of service provided. Check-in with Cesar at the front desk was smooth and efficient. I had the surprise of getting upgraded to one of the best suites in the hotel, suite 726 with what can only be described as having a unique view over the river and the London sights. I could have spent hours just gazing through the window. I felt really lucky and I want to say how grateful I am for this upgrade. The suite was immaculate, spacious and extremely well appointed. The amenities from Penhaligon were very nice. We had drinks with a friend at the American bar which was truly a wonderful experience. The cocktails are delicious and the staff is very kind. Breakfast was extremely good with the cinnamon French toast which was so tasty. I can appreciate the extremely high level of professionalism of every member staff I encountered during my stay. Training of staff at this hotel obviously follows very high standards. The fact that breakfast personnel was able to call you by name for example was a sign of an outstanding level of care. Check-out was very good. Overall, a wonderful stay which carries beautiful memories for me. Thank you very much to all the staff at The Savoy. I will be back soon.

Ok this hotel is beautiful and is spotless! I don’t know how they keep it up as I didn’t see anyone cleaning! It must be the fairies in the night! Everything is perfect! The room was well appointed and equipped! Bathroom is very well designed! The included mini bar is a very nice touch but when paying £1000 a night for a standard room you’d expect perhaps this to be, regardless it was appreciated! Soft drinks, milk, waters and crisps and it was replenished daily! The American bar was not as impressive as I expected it to be, but the staff were lovely and welcoming! Paddington the musical at the savoy was incredible and a must go, probably the best show I’ve ever seen and I’ve seen them all … all Barr a few! Breakfast wasn’t included, but for this rate I feel it should be, if you compare it to the Nobu for example (best breakfast in london) and half the price of the Savoy and just as well appointed, but newer and not so iconic then yes it should be included! Personally I think at this calibre of hotel breakfast should be a given! All in all we enjoyed our 2 day stay very much although we were out and about a lot! The bed was extremely comfy and we slept very well! The only complaint I have and why I will not stay here again until it is removed or hidden in the room rate is when checking out we were faced with a 5% accommodation service charge …. I asked what this was and was told it’s basically a tip for back of house …. Office, admin, kitchen housekeeping! I’d tipped the door man, tipped the porter, tipped the valet, tipped the house keeping (left in room) tipped the bar man, re tipped the porter and retipped the valet when I left, all the while assuming they r all on minimum wage and tipping is a given in the jobs! But now the back of house feel left out cos the SAVOY is not paying them enough from my £1000 a night for a standard room! are the savoy not embarrassed about this? Should this lowly act of rolling out the begging bowl at check out to assist the savoy in paying towards their staffs wages at check out not be more suited to the holiday inn? We left totally shocked the Savoy really should consider being above this poor practice at their rates and pay their staff a better rate of pay instead of greedily expecting their patrons to pay it on leaving. Put the begging bowl away and pay back of house a better rate of pay

Stayed during a business trip, it was fantastic.

We recently stayed at The Savoy for three nights to celebrate our wedding and honeymoon. As it was my first time in London, the incredible welcome we received from the entire staff made the trip exceptionally special.Ben in Guest Services was incredibly helpful before we even arrived, ensuring my requested pillow was waiting in the room to help combat my jet lag. We arrived late at night, but Arthur at the front desk still gave us a fantastic reception and shared great tourist tips that helped us plan our days. The celebratory amenities and handwritten card in our room were such sweet touches.We dined in the Gallery for breakfast, and all the servers were so attentive and professional. Last but not least, a huge shoutout to the culinary team for truly elevating our experience! The breakfast is absolutely amazing, and we loved trying different dishes over our three days. I was pleasantly surprised by the wide variety of healthy, organic options. Don't get me wrong, we still completely enjoyed the traditional full English breakfast—featuring delicious bacon, the best hash browns, and phenomenal pastries. Finally, the famous Arnold Bennett omelette. I didn't expect to be a fan, but your chefs have truly perfected it: creamy, slightly smoky, and wonderfully cheesy. I only wish I had ordered it on our very first day! Thank you to The Savoy for giving us such a memorable experience. We will definitely be coming back.

Wow! Just wow! So lucky to have been able to spend a weekend with my Mum and daughter as a sort of combined celebration of 30th, 60th and 80th birthdays. For as long as I can remember Mum has loved Paddington, so when I first heard of the musical I booked tickets for this weekend (which cost much less than they do now!). Seemed like the perfect way to combine it with a very long held dream of mine to stay at the Savoy, so booked that too 😊 We rode in style from the station to the hotel in their very shiny Rolls Royce. We were able to check in but our room wasn’t ready so we headed straight to the matinee of Paddington. After the show we were able to head to our room, where we found we had been upgraded from a river room to an absolutely massive one bedroom suite – where a sweet treat awaited our arrival too. Once we had settled in we headed off to enjoy a lovely dinner nearby, and ended the evening with cocktails in the American Bar at the hotel. On the Sunday morning my daughter had enough energy to use the hotel’s gym, whilst Mum and I opted for a cuppa in bed instead. We then headed to the Gallery for our breakfast, which were delicious and came with a surprise ‘dessert’ for each of us too. The hotel was everything I had hoped for, and made for a very special celebration weekend. Staff were so friendly and helpful, the room was amazing, views incredible, the food and drinks excellent.

The hotel was amazing. The room was fabulous and the staff were helpful and attentive. We had afternoon tea in the Gallery, I have worked in hospitality for 30 years and our waiter, Oliver was a star, very attentive, funny, chatty and engaging, im sure he will go far if this is his chosen path

What a hotel!! We have just returned from a weekend break at the Savoy London. From arriving on Saturday to leaving late Sunday, the staff went out of their way to look after us and make the weekend special. Without exception, the Savoy staff are amazing, their customer service is second to none. We made the most of our weekend eating at the Gallery and the Riverside restaurants, we went to the Savoy theatre, to watch the wonderful Paddington, enjoyed the hospitality of the American bar and spent Sunday afternoon in the Leisure club. Book and enjoy this hotel you will not regret it. We loved it and will definitely be back.

WOW WOW WOW … i booked as a belated birthday present for my husband as I had also booked the theatre 🎭.. from booking with polly to arrival the service was perfection ..we had booked a one bedroom suite with river view which low and behold came with a butler 💛… we had asked for an early checkin due the theatre time and we arrived at 1 and the room was ready for us which was amazing we were then greeted by the suites butler who showed us to our room and when we went through the door on the 7th floor I could of cried from the the views and the beautiful suite was absolutely stunning Atilla the butler could not do enough for us and was absolutely charming… we usually stay at claridge’s but the savoy was well what can I say stunning… We also had a reservation at the savoy grill and as per usual service and food exceptional would highly recommend … Thank you so much very much for a fantastic experience

Booked afternoon tea for myself and daughter ( work trip, birthday trip and shopping trip all rolled into one ! ). We haven't been to the Savoy since the revamp , so we through ' why not ' Upon our arrival at the Gallery my daughter and I were greeted by Gianpaolo or GP to his friends and escorted to our table. We were then guided through the menu by GP noting the different options available - nice touch. The food and tea options are extensive which clearly caters for all dietary requirements ( I'm gluten free which is a great help ). GP had other members to hand who I feel should get a mention ( we don't want GP taking all the credit) so a big Thank You to Ciara, Archie and Leonardo - who can talk for England. If it was an Olympic sport he would get the Gold medal.The sandwichs, scones and cakes were most delicious so the guys and girls behind the scenes should be congratulated on that and I've had many an Afternoon Tea ( and I've the waist band to prove it ). If you can manage it you can request re-fills on everything alternatively if you can't eat it all you can ask to take it home ( it saves on the washing up ). One point I must mention though is that there are smaller tables directly next to the piano which is nice BUT if you're having a romantic Afternoon Tea for two to will end up shouting at each other because you can't hear each other talk .So, to sum up the overall experience...it was great and yes I would do it again maybe around Christmas time but book early for that because preferred dates will be snapped up very quickly!!.

Spent an afternoon of High Tea at the Gallery. Had an excellent experience with Wini. She was an absolute delight. A most relaxing experience and the piano player was fantastic.
