Switch is a two-floor gay bar on Scotswood Road, popular as a pre-club warm-up in Newcastle's Pink Triangle - many drinkers pick up Powerhouse wristbands here before heading on. DJs play across the week, with the busiest nights Thursday to Sunday, and the upstairs "Loft" room adds extra space at weekends. Central and firmly part of the gay-village circuit, it's steps from The Eagle, The Bank Bar and Number 52 sauna.
