Great location fir a quiet & relaxing break away from the rat race !

We’ve just had a fantastic week at Bowland Escapes staying in the Longridge Lodge as a family of five (2 adults and 3 children aged 7, 12 and 13). The lodge was spotless, modern, and really comfortable, with everything we needed for our stay. The hot tub was a real highlight—clean, well maintained, and perfect for relaxing in after a day out. The on-site Wild Boar Park was brilliant for the kids; they loved feeding the animals and exploring, which really made the trip extra special. The location is stunning—right in the heart of the countryside. It’s peaceful, quiet, and surrounded by great walks, which we all enjoyed as a family. Overall, Bowland Escapes is the perfect mix of comfort, family fun, and countryside relaxation. We’d definitely recommend it and can’t wait to come back.

Stayed in the shepherd's hut , word of waening theres no signal ( vodafone) and never got wifi but for us it was fine to just switch off from it . Loved the place , the staff and the area .. definitely would go back . The wedding venue part was lovely too from what I saw !! We visited the boar park 2 days in a row , lots to do for kids there .

Just got back from 4 nights at Bowland Escapes, and it was lovely. The lodge was gorgeous and well maintained, the staff were helpful and friendly and it was in the middle of nowhere but still plenty to do. Loved it ❤️

We got married at Bowland Tipis on the 21st June so we booked out all of the accommodation on site at Bowland Escapes from Friday - Monday and all we can say is WOW! All of the lodges are absolutely GORGEOUS, kitted out with all of the amenities you could want and spotlessly clean. All of the other accommodation (Shepherds Huts, Camping pods and Safari Tents) were also all spotlessly clean, cosy and wonderful! Everyone in our wedding party commented on how fabulous the accommodation was, and those using the shared bathrooms and showers commented on how clean and well kept they were. The site itself is fabulous, and we were also given free passes to the Wild Boar Park, which was a perfect Sunday activity! The team at Bowland escapes were an absolute pleasure to speak to throughout our whole wedding planning and booking process. Sarah in particular was so helpful and accommodating. We could not speak highly enough of Bowland Escapes and we will definitely be back for our one year anniversary next June! Mr & Mrs Parkinson

I don't usually leave reviews but wow, what a place and what an experience, you made my first trip to Lancashire very memorable! Stayed in the iron age roundhouse, had a great BBQ and all round top night, the site is very well maintained. My only suggestion would be a battery powered lantern would be great inside, the solar powered lights lasted about 2 minutes. Also some covered seating outside would be great, having a fire was nice but had to take refuge when it rained. I shall definitely be back though!

Visited 21/3-23/3/25 You are spoilt for choice there are lodges camping pods iron age roundhouse safari tent and Shepherd's huts. We stayed in a lodge and it was just immaculate so beautiful with an outdoor area with seating and added bonus is the hot tub,the patio is very secure so if you have young children you know that they are safe,the kitchen has everything you could possible need,we loved our stay (and didn't want to come home) there is a wild boar farm with a selection of different animals and a secure play area,there are plenty places to walk around and maybe spot some wildlife as well as an area where children could build a den,there are plenty of pubs/restaurants a small drive away.There is a shop in the reception where you can buy your every day essentials,wood and kindling and a nice selection of meats and ice cream. There is also an area for weddings just so much to choose from, from camping to staying in a lodge there are options available for everyone's taste.The staff are so friendly and can't do enough for you.

We have just come back from a 3 night stay camping at bowlands escapes. 10 children and 5 adults. We came last year and had such a good time we planned to return. The field is lovely and spacious not over booked. Toilet blocks lovely and clean, showers are amazing. The staff literally couldn't be more helpful. The staff both at the camping reception and in the wild boar park were happy all the time even when its raining they still have smiles on their faces and make an effort with the children. The park itself has both indoor and outdoor activities so even when wet there was still plenty to do. Can highly recommend staying here and the small fee to enjoy the park for your whole stay is fab.

I stayed 1 night on the tent pitch, as I was meeting friends nearby at Inch perfect trials. The communication from Anona before arrival was great, the pitch was lovely and flat and plenty of room to get comfy. The toilets and showers were new and clean with plenty hot water. The location is Beautiful. I will definitely be back.

What a beautiful place to escape to. Staff were all really friendly, I believe its a family run business We stayed in the shepherds hut which was perfect for us
