The honest summary: Key West has five gay bars in November 2026, and three of them are within a block of the corner of Duval and Petronia. The biggest drag club, Aqua, has been closed since July 2026, so the drag action is at 801 Bourbon and La Te Da for now.

801 Bourbon Bar

801 Bourbon Bar at 801 Duval is the anchor: a street-level bar and the upstairs 801 Cabaret, where the resident queens do shows every night, usually at 9pm and 11pm. Google lists it open from 10am to 4am. The crowd is gay men and locals early, then plenty of straight tourists for the shows.

Bourbon Street Pub

Bourbon Street Pub at 724 Duval, open since 1995, has a video bar with dancers at the front and a garden with a pool and bar at the back. It hosts the pool parties during Tropical Heat and Bear Weekend, plus themed nights and holiday parties all year (its own calendar on bourbonstpub.com is reliable). Open 10am to 4am.

One Saloon

One Saloon, also called Saloon 1, at 504 Petronia is the leather, Levi's and bear bar, in the same group as Bourbon Street Pub, with a dark back room. It opens at 5pm (9pm on Wednesday) and stays open until 4am, until midnight on Sunday.

La Te Da

La Te Da at 1125 Duval, at the quieter south end, is a gay-run hotel with a garden bar and the Crystal Room cabaret upstairs. The Sunday Tea Dance has run since 1977, and there is a Sunday drag brunch. Book cabaret seats ahead in high season.

Bobby's Monkey Bar

Bobby's Monkey Bar at 900 Simonton Street is the locals' bar: karaoke every night, cheap drinks, cash only, smoking allowed, open from noon to 4am.

Gay-friendly, and gone

22&Co at 504 Angela Street is a gay-friendly martini bar with drag bingo on Sunday afternoons. Aqua (711 Duval) closed on 6 July 2026 and its founder plans to reopen it after a remodel; the Birdcage Cabaret next to 22&Co closed at the end of July 2026. There is no lesbian bar; Womenfest in September is when the island fills with women. Garden of Eden, the clothing-optional rooftop above the Bull on lower Duval, is a mixed bar, not a gay one.

Tips

• Do the 801 drag show first, then the Bourbon garden, then One Saloon after midnight.
• Bobby's is cash only; the Duval bars take cards.
• Plastic cups are tolerated on Duval; glass is not.
