Esplendor by Wyndham Plaza Francia

We returned to the Hotel Plaza Francia after 20 years and it was like reuniting with an old friend: it keeps intact that boutique hotel mystique that made it special the first time. The location is simply unbeatable, in the heart of Recoleta, a quiet and safe neighborhood to walk around at any time. You are steps away from Patio Bullrich, the Pilar Church, and the Recoleta cemetery, and surrounded by some of the best restaurants in Buenos Aires, so you almost don't need a taxi for anything. The hotel is cozy, on a human scale, with that warmth that chain hotels do not achieve. The breakfast is very good: it is served in a small space but it has everything necessary to start the day well, and with close and attentive service. It is one of those places that you choose again without hesitation, and we are already thinking that our next visit will not take another 20 years. Highly recommended for anyone looking to stay in Recoleta without losing the boutique charm.

Arrived late tired, they have simple (low cost) sandwiches for room service - exactly what we needed. We stayed for 1 night, went to the Iguazu Falls for 2 nights, and returned to this hotel for 2 more nights. They stored our luggage while we were away to the falls “no problem”. They again stored our luggage after our last check-out for a few hours “no problem”. The hotel is on a quiet side street in a very safe area - Recoleta, one of the nicest neighborhoods in the city. There’s a convenient store (Carrefour Express) around the corner, within 3 minutes walk. Highly recommend Sottovoce restaurant (Italian), just a block away - $25-$60/person, tablecloth service type restaurant. We stayed in July 2026, Room#402 has firm beds, Room#202 has soft beds - if you have preference and choice.

Excellent cost-effective and a very welcoming experience We stayed at the Esplendor by Wyndham Buenos Aires Plaza Francia for five days and our experience exceeded expectations, especially considering the excellent cost-effectiveness. We had a very cordial service throughout our stay, with a special thanks to William and Cinthia, who contributed to making our experience even more welcoming and special. The breakfast is simple but satisfying. We only miss a fresh French-style bread and fresh cheese. The location is excellent, in the Recoleta neighborhood, close to great restaurants, markets and shopping, which greatly facilitates the stay and tours of the city. The building is old, but it is noticeable that it has been revitalized and receives constant maintenance. The decor is elegant, the apartments are cozy and well equipped. The shower is very good, the bed comfortable, and the cleaning was satisfactory, with excellent bedding and bathing. We would definitely stay at the hotel again. Our gratitude to the entire staff for welcoming us so well and making our stay in Buenos Aires even more enjoyable!

It is a well located hotel in the beautiful Recoleta district. It is a remodeled old hotel, old elevators, small rooms with almost no place to store clothes and belongings, breakfasts only well, surprise that they do not offer complimentary water.

The customer service provided makes this a 5 star rating. The hotel itself is small and our room and bathroom were tiny but adequate. The view of the city was beautiful from our room - worth upgrading. Several things to note - the front desk is extremely helpful and fluent in English. Martin and Abigail were amazing. Breakfast is charming, serving things from various countries. Kiki was very helpful and cheerful - made the day start on a happy note.

Great location and view from the 15th floor. Great service in general. Had some issues with the safe that were promptly handled. Breakfast is a buffet but very tasty. Minus point: no bathrobes or slippers in room. We will certainly go back!

I spent several days in this small hotel last month. It has an excellent location, meters from Libertador and Posadas Street. The price is lower than other options in the same area. It is close to everything: tourism and business, restaurants, shops. The rooms are somewhat old but have a nice decor which keeps them in force, at least in the appearance. The staff is friendly. Point to improve: breakfast has an end time (which is logical) but long before finishing they no longer replenish what is being finished, which generates logical annoyance among passengers who go to breakfast. That said, the girl who served breakfast during my stay was super friendly and well disposed. Beyond that important detail, it becomes an excellent choice for location and price

We loved this hotel- it was clean, comfortable, safe and very close to several beautiful parks. The hosts at the front desk were kind and attentive and were able to help us with our requests and questions right away. We enjoyed staying here and would highly recommend it.
