Today, May 17th. When the skinny DJ plays. It's always great. Without changing the original versions. I was there yesterday, November 22nd, and to my disappointment, the club, which previously had as its great differentiator the nostalgic atmosphere and the repertoire full of classics, seems to have completely lost its character. The charm of the old songs — which brought a unique, welcoming atmosphere and always kept the dance floor full — has been replaced by generic remixes, all with the same modern and artificial feel, almost a poorly executed attempt to imitate The Week's style. The result of this change is visible: a practically empty dance floor, an unenthusiastic audience, and an energy that no longer resembles what the place used to offer. In addition, the audience profile has changed — not necessarily for the better. The feeling is that the club tried to "ride the wave" of current trends, but lost its identity in the process. Curiously, from 3 am onwards, the sound finally improved, returning to something closer to what the club used to deliver. But by then it was too late: most of the audience, tired and disappointed, had already left, leaving only the echo of a night that could have been — but wasn't. In the end, those who frequented it for the authentic vibe and the unique repertoire lost out. The club that had soul became just another one in the crowd.
