Ocean West Boutique Hotel

I personally did not stay in the hotel but I had a cancelled flight and initially the airline would not accommodate for hotel so I urgently booked this hotel. Later on my airline ended up giving vouchers for a hotel stay so I called the hotel to ask if it would be okay to cancel and they thankfully did. In today’s world that really means a lot and says a lot about the people who run it. Thank you so much, it lessened my stress a notch from a nightmare situation.

I loved the Beautiful Ocean West Boutique Hotel it was like sleeping in your own Castle and the room was elegant. The bed was big and comfy made you feel like royalty. The view from the balcony was breathtaking. The pool was pretty and fun to enjoy later in the day. The rooms in the hotel were all so unique and historical looking. Dinning room is also so beautiful. The stairway is gorgeous. The free wifi worked well but only on the floor you stayed on. Also nice parking area with gated community. The things I think could be improved is some of the amenities and service for example, when we arrived we had to drag up our own luggage after a long trip without any help up several stairs with no ac in this area. No free breakfast , no free bottle of water they wanted 3 dollars per bottle, no coffee maker or coffee, no makeup remover wipes and very small bottles of shampoo and conditioner. It did have an a/c in the room, microwave and fridge. The bed was a little sandy from day one and we never went to the beach and the floor in the bathroom was dirty. They could offer more towels. There is not a trash outside anywhere and only one small trash can in the bathroom which made it hard to get rid of trash. I definely recommend this place purely because it's just such a beautiful place to stay. The service desk is very friendly and always there.

The property has the charm and personal attention of a boutique hotel while still providing the comfort, amenities, and beautiful surroundings expected from a high-quality island getaway. The staff made a wonderful first impression. Everyone I encountered was friendly, professional, courteous, and willing to help with questions, transportation, local recommendations, and anything else needed during the stay. The service felt personal rather than rushed, and it was clear that the team genuinely cared about making guests feel comfortable. That level of hospitality made the experience feel special from check-in through departure. I stayed in the Pearl room with an ocean and pool view, and it was a beautiful and relaxing space. The room was comfortable, clean, well presented, and had a peaceful atmosphere that made it easy to unwind after a full day of diving and exploring Nassau. Waking up to the view and being able to look out toward the water and pool was an excellent way to begin each morning. The room had the character of a private island retreat instead of feeling like a standard chain-hotel room. The entire property was attractive, quiet, and well cared for. The pool area was especially enjoyable and offered a calm place to relax, cool off, and enjoy the Bahamian weather. The landscaping, architecture, and oceanfront setting created a peaceful environment that felt removed from the noise and crowds of larger resorts. It was ideal for anyone who wants a more intimate, relaxing experience rather than a busy hotel atmosphere. The location on West Bay Street worked very well for my trip. It provided a quieter home base while still allowing convenient access by taxi to beaches, restaurants, activities, downtown Nassau, and my scuba-diving plans. After spending the day on boats and completing multiple dives, it was wonderful to return to a calm property where I could shower, rest, organize my gear, and recharge for the next day. Cleanliness was another major strength. The room, common areas, pool area, and grounds were consistently neat and inviting. The hotel had a fresh, cared-for feeling throughout the stay. I appreciated the attention to detail and the fact that the property never felt overcrowded. The quieter setting made it easy to sleep and truly relax. Ocean West Boutique Hotel also offered excellent value for the overall experience. The combination of a beautiful property, ocean views, personalized hospitality, peaceful atmosphere, comfortable accommodations, and convenient Nassau location made the stay worth the money. It felt more distinctive and memorable than staying at a large, standardized resort. What stood out most was the atmosphere. Ocean West felt elegant without being pretentious, relaxing without feeling isolated, and personal without sacrificing privacy. It was a wonderful place to return to after busy days of sightseeing, diving, and exploring. The property helped turn the trip into a complete vacation rather than simply providing a room to sleep in. I would highly recommend Ocean West Boutique Hotel to couples, solo travelers, divers, and anyone looking for a quiet, charming, and comfortable stay in Nassau. It is especially well suited for travelers who appreciate boutique accommodations, personal service, beautiful views, and a peaceful environment away from the biggest resort crowds. The friendly service, clean and comfortable room, beautiful pool and ocean views, peaceful atmosphere, and attention to detail made this a genuine five-star experience. Would leave zero stars if I could!! Booked this hotel back in January for stays on March 21st and 29th, passing through Nassau en route to/from Eleuthera. We received the standard "Looking forward to welcoming you" message 3 days before our arrival. When we arrived at the hotel after a 16 hour trip from Western Canada, there was no record of our reservation and we were turned away. Clearly a scam to take advantage of high rates at Spring Break!! Steer clear - your reservation is NOT guaranteed!

It would have been better with a shower than with an older dated bathtub but the stay itself was great.

Although the property is a stunning property and the staff were extremely helpful and friendly there were things I expected for the price we paid for the room. We stayed one night at the beginning of our holiday and one night at the end. The first room was huge, extremely comfortable bed and air con that worked. Big bath with shower curtain, shower was ok but volume of water was not great. There was a fridge in the room and a microwave but no coffee/tea making facilities. We had to unplug the fridge as it was very noisy. No complimentary water, it was $3/bottle. Breakfast was good but very limited. Pool area was great, drinks were available and some snacks at other times but no food other than breakfast. The 2nd room we stayed in was much smaller but had all the same stuff and a balcony which had comfy chairs. This room had complimentary coffee making facilities but had to collect from front desk so didn't bother. There are restaurants within walking distance which we tried. Location is fairly close to the airport but a good 30 mins taxi from Nassau which was $45each way. All in all not a bad property but could be a couple of tweaks to make it much better. Would stay again but unlikely to travel to Nassau again.
