Blooming Point Beach

Blooming Point Beach, on the north shore near Tracadie Bay about 25 km northeast of Charlottetown, is Prince Edward Island's most established clothing-optional beach. Its western end has long had an unofficial, tolerated nude section that has historically been popular with gay beachgoers, documented across regional guides and Atlantic-Canada naturist listings. The setting is classic PEI: long stretches of sand, dunes, and the warm Gulf of St. Lawrence waters. A few practical notes: the clothing-optional use is informal rather than officially sanctioned, so discretion is wise and rules can occasionally be enforced. There are no dedicated facilities at the nude end, so bring water, sun protection, and anything else you need. It is an easy day trip by car from the city and pairs well with exploring the wider Tracadie shoreline.
