The Ambassador’s Terrace

Rarely have we felt more welcome or taken care of then at our recent stay with Debra at ambassador's Terrace. We were received as family. The room was spotless. We were a little concerned about security being in a strange city, so Debra asked her colleague to drive us the short distance to a nearby restaurant. If you are looking for kind, clean, friendly hospitality this is your place. Thank you, Debra.

The advantage of this house is its location and beautiful terrace overlooking the estuary and harbor. Flocks of pelicans hunt fish, creating an interesting setting. The rooms are very large and comfortable, at least those on the first floor with a terrace. The hosts create a wonderful atmosphere and help arrange excursions or call a taxi. A good breakfast at a large table overlooking the sea is also a plus. The rooms are very simply furnished, so don't expect coziness or a special atmosphere. Rather, they're ascetic. The view from the terrace makes up for everything. The area is very safe, as the Supreme Court and police are nearby. Shops are close by. However, you'll have to look farther afield for a good restaurant. In the evenings, you'll have to turn a blind eye to the dredger operating in the estuary, and you'll hear the engines a bit. But that's probably only occasionally.

Convenient location right in downtown Belize City. Rooms were very nice for the price. We had a veranda overlooking the water which was pleasant for morning and evening. Hosts are very friendly. Would definitely stay here again

A fantastic stay at The Ambassador’s Terrace. More than a hotel, a true hub for anyone visiting Belize. Deborah and her husband genuinely master hospitality; warm, personal and thoughtful without feeling intrusive. The terrace offers unforgettable sunrise views over the Caribbean Sea, and the breakfast is a standout: fresh, local ingredients sourced from Belizean suppliers and prepared with care. The charm of the place lies in the details: authentic architecture, a breezy seafront location, and a large wooden table in the dining room that doubles perfectly as a workspace with a view. Ideal for business meetings, creative sessions or simply slowing down. If you're looking for an environment where you can both focus and relax, this is it. I will definitely stay here again on my next visit to Belize. Highly recommended.

I had a wonderful stay at The Ambassador’s Terrace in Belize City! The property is full of charm, located in a beautifully restored colonial home just steps from the water and close to shops, restaurants, and the water taxis. The highlight for me was the sea-facing terrace — a perfect spot for enjoying the breeze and watching the sunrise. If you're looking for a peaceful, well-located, and character-filled place to stay in Belize City, I highly recommend The Ambassador’s Terrace. I would absolutely stay here again!
