Waves Ahead – LGBT Center for Older Adults ⚠ Unverified Own this place?

Waves Ahead is Puerto Rico's largest LGBTQ+ social-services nonprofit, running mental-health support, case management and a centre for LGBTQ+ older adults on Avenida Américo Miranda in San Juan. It organises Orgullo del Adulto Mayor, the elders' Pride day, held in Isabela in May 2026. Federal funding cuts in 2025 took a large share of its budget and closed its Loíza centre, so programmes and opening hours change. Contact the organisation through wavesahead.org before visiting.
