Giwayen Mata is an award-winning, all-women dance, percussion, and vocal ensemble drawing from the movements, rhythms, and songs of the African Diaspora. This multi-generational herd honors Indigenous American ancestors and African heritage in a soul-stirring performance celebrating Black womanhood.
