על המקום הזה Brooklyn Community Pride Center
The Brooklyn Community Pride Center is the borough's main LGBTQ+ community centre, on Bedford Avenue in Crown Heights. It runs mental-health and peer support groups, services for LGBTQ+ immigrants, a food pantry, fitness programmes and community events. Most of what it offers is free or low-cost.
The programme changes month to month, so check the centre's calendar or social media for group times before going. It is a useful contact for newcomers to Brooklyn looking for community outside Manhattan's bar scene.
