על המקום הזה True Colors

True Colors is a Connecticut nonprofit, founded in 1994, that works with LGBTQ+ young people and the adults around them, including families, teachers, social workers and foster carers. Its best-known programme is a large annual youth conference. It also runs a mentoring programme pairing LGBTQ+ youth with adult mentors, and offers professional training and policy advocacy. The group is based in the Hartford area but works statewide. It isn't a drop-in venue, so make contact through its website or social media. For travellers, it matters mainly as a local resource rather than a place to visit.

Terribly mis-managed, Programs were helpful but the staff and directors are amazingly short sided. As of Today 1/30/21 I found out that they fired there entire staff without notice. All of their current programs are now up in the air and they dont seem to care.

Thank goodness for True Colors! They were there for my child during a very difficult adolescence. Youth who are questioning their sexual identity or orientation are warmly welcomed and supported. For some, it's the only place they are welcomed.
