The Astro Motel

The Astro is a renovated 1963 motor lodge next to Juilliard Park in the SOFA (South of A Street) arts district, a short walk from downtown. It was reopened by the team behind the Spinster Sisters restaurant, with a retro design, bikes for guests and a small garden. A 2018 Advocate travel feature said the Astro and its owners have always attracted LGBTQ staff and guests. Google rates it 4.4 from about 280 reviews.
