Hirondelle Club Bénin

Hirondelle Club Bénin is an LGBTQ+ community organisation based in Cotonou, founded in 2013. It works on support, health access and rights for queer people in Benin, and it reports running a shelter for young LGBTQ+ people who have lost their housing, with social support and vocational training. Same-sex relations are not criminalised in Benin, but social stigma is strong and the community keeps a low profile. The organisation has no public walk-in address in our data. Contact it through hirondelle-international.org rather than looking for an office.
