Djibouti Ayla Grand Hotel

A very good experience! I received a very warm welcome upon arrival around 10 pm, and check-in was quick and efficient. The room (superior double) was well-appointed, spacious, and, most importantly, well-lit: something that is often lacking in many hotels. During my stay, I used room service: ordering was easy, but the menu accessible via QR code wasn't up-to-date with what was being served that day, so it was a little confusing when ordering. The time between ordering and service was rather long, but the dish arrived well-presented and, above all, well-cooked. The only downside was ordering crème brûlée and receiving a rather bland egg custard... A shame. Breakfast offered a limited selection, but the products all seemed to be of good quality and were well-prepared. Overall, it's a hotel I would be happy to return to on a future trip to Djibouti.

Luxury

I had a very disappointing experience at the Ayla hotel restaurant. While the food and atmosphere were acceptable, the behavior of the security staff completely ruined the visit. The security guard was disrespectful, unprofessional, and spoke in an inappropriate manner, making me feel unwelcome and uncomfortable. Customer service should extend to every member of staff, including security. Respect and professionalism are essential in hospitality. I hope management addresses this issue to ensure future guests are treated better.
