Le Suffren Hotel & Marina

Had a great and pleasant stay, nice staff, good service, standard breakfast buffet and good ootion sforndiner also. Especially liked the option to have breakfast outside in the cobered terras

We did a day package with lunch at the hotel and entrance to the Odysseo aquarium and then you can go to the other side with the water taxi for shopping, sightseeing etc. Good and friendly staff. It was a nice relaxing afternoon.

It is a somewhat older hotel. Although the rooms show some age, they are generally well-maintained. To get there, you must cross a waterway from the waterfront; at the far end of the waterfront, there is a private pier and a free ferry service available. Alternatively, you can cross the bridge near the Odyssey Aquarium to reach the hotel directly.

Beautiful hotel located in Port Louis, very close to restaurants. A 5-minute walk will take you to the waterfront, and a 10-minute walk will get you to the central market. The hotel is clean, and the rooms are large. A free boat shuttle is available to cross the small river and reach the restaurants; this service runs until 11 pm. The only downside is that the breakfast menu is almost the same every day.

I spent three nights at the Suffren for a convention from Tuesday to Friday. I can't comment on the value for money as my company paid. The hotel is clean, although showing its age: the carpeting is everywhere, the aquariums are empty, the fountains are dry… a refresh would be welcome with a coat of paint and more contemporary decor. My first room smelled terribly musty because the refrigerator had leaked water onto the carpet. I had to insist a bit to be moved, but after that, the room was fine, even if the decor is a bit dated, as mentioned before. As for the restaurant service, the head waiters and section waiters are impeccable. The younger waiters are less friendly and sometimes a little lost. The à la carte menu is good at lunchtime. We had many buffets of rather variable quality, often with overcooked fish or meat on the chafing dishes. The bane of buffet service. The gym is large and well-equipped. In short, it's a business hotel that resembles a hotel in the US, not suitable for tourists (it overlooks a parking lot on the other side of the river). But overall, it's good for Port Louis!

Le Suffren Hotel & Marina offers a wonderful experience right from the start with its beautiful boat shuttle transfer. Both the hotel and the restaurant are stunning. The dishes are highly generous and of excellent quality. It has been a little while since my last visit, but I truly hope to come back soon to see how this beautiful place has evolved and to enjoy their delicious food once again.

Le Suffren Marina did not disappoint. Amazing staff who went above and beyond. Food was goooood 🔥 Woke up to marina views every morning. Such a good experience. Will definitely be back!
