Hotel M's Plus Shijō Ōmiya

Great hotel in a very convenient location! Hotel M's Plus Shijō Ōmiya was a very comfortable and pleasant place to stay in Kyoto. The location is excellent — close to public transportation, convenience stores, restaurants, and easy access to many areas around the city. The hotel was clean, modern, and well organized. The room was comfortable, the staff were polite and helpful, and everything felt easy and convenient for travelers. It was a good base for exploring Kyoto while still being in a calmer area compared to the busiest tourist spots. A very good choice for couples or anyone looking for a clean, practical, and comfortable hotel in Kyoto. Highly recommended!

Well connected, close to the metro and bus, with several convenience stores and good restaurants. The service was very friendly and the room was spotless.

Amazing hotel for the price. Everything was perfect from start to finish. The staff at reception were very kind and helpful, and the hotel itself was clean, comfortable, and quiet. The best part is definitely the location — trains, metro, and buses are all within 20–50 meters, making it super easy to move around Kyoto. Nothing bad to say at all. Would definitely stay here again!

Very nice employees. Sadly the prices for upgrading a room are ridiculous (could literally book the room for the price of the upgrade plus 10€ on Agoda - doesnt make sense imo) also the small room is really really small. Important: the washing machines in the hotel are not good, the dryer which is 200 yen for 30 minutes does not really dry (saw some people putting their clothes in there for 2+ hours and it was still wet) and people just throw your stuff out of the dryer if you’re 5 min late because there are not enough. Go to a real washing machine place instead.

The hotel is less than a 2-minute walk to the left from Hankyu Omiya Station, and the Randen tram is across the street. You can walk through three shopping streets to Nijo Castle, so the location is quite convenient. The hotel staff were friendly, the rooms were well maintained, the overall color scheme was comfortable, and the space felt spacious. During Golden Week, a four-person room cost about 35,000 yen per night. The price should be more affordable during non-holiday periods, but the overall accommodation experience was very good.
