Cosa dicono i recensori

Guests find the Rainbow Hotel to be a budget-friendly option, especially when other accommodations are unavailable. However, common complaints include issues with the air conditioning, the short duration of the button-operated showers in the public bath, and the general lack of amenities in the rooms. Some guests also noted unpleasant smells and overcrowding in the public bath area.

I used this hotel because I couldn't find another hotel during Golden Week. I think it was around 5000 yen for a single room a week in advance. [Guest Room] As others have mentioned, there was only a bed and a TV. The air conditioning wasn't working, so I opened the window and a cool breeze came in, which was comfortable... but it started raining, and since the room had no roof, closing the window made it unbearably hot. The bed and pillows were clean, just like in a typical business hotel, but the bedspread on top of the sheets seemed dirty, perhaps because it hadn't been changed. [Public Bath] I only used the shower, but the water pressure was strong, giving it a Showa-era public bath feel, which was very comfortable. The shampoo and other amenities weren't the kind that would make your hair stiff, but rather the kind you'd find in a slightly upscale public bathhouse. It's an old building, so there are some rough spots, but I think it wouldn't bother someone who likes public baths. [Toilet] The toilet was well-cleaned, didn't smell, and was comfortable to use. However, there's a noticeable odor in the hallway leading to the toilet, possibly due to poor plumbing. Overall, my impression is that it's a reasonably priced inn, for better or for worse. It would be extremely tough for someone unfamiliar with budget accommodations, but reasonably comfortable for those who are. The location was a bit confusing at first, but once you've been there once, it's easy to remember and you won't get lost again. The only issue was the heat inside the room; it would probably be comfortable in winter. I would use this inn again if I have the opportunity.

I stayed there for day use. The bath mat in the large public bath was soaked. There was a cleaning sink in the changing room so I could wash my feet again later, but I wasn't too happy about it.

Overall, it's worth the price, and perfectly adequate if budget is your main concern. However, the showers in the bathhouse...they're the kind where you press a button and hot water comes out for a set amount of time, but it's way too short! You have to press it repeatedly to use it properly. Many reviews say the bathhouse is quite crowded, but it's empty around 9 PM. Maybe it's best to eat somewhere nearby before going?
