Barn1920s Hostel

I absolutely loved this hostel ! It is located in a beautiful house and there is a cute coffee shop. You have breakfast included but you have to cook it yourself, and you can also have one drink from the coffeeshop. You can rent scooters and bicycle. The room is nice, except that the matress is a bit hard. The location is good, very close to the night market. I wanted to stay longer but they were sadly fully booked.

Really liked my experience here! Clean rooms & bathrooms, friendly staff, good location! Loved that breakfast was included and that you have a space to cook for yourself if you’d like and also one included coffee-drink per night you’re there. Really nice perk! Don’t forget to check out the cool lounge upstairs! Great WiFi and nobody was ever there so it was the perfect work/chat space.

A cute place in a lovely neighborhood! Everything looks exactly like they are in the photos. You get free coffee/drink every day. Breakfast is included but you have to prepare by yourself. Quite far from the night market but definitely walkable.

Honestly one of my favourite hostels I’ve stayed in for all my travels. The bed setup is AMAZING! Lots of space to put your bags and a large locker so you can shut everything away. Each night comes with an included drink from their cafe which is a lovely touch! Loved the self serve breakfast too - meant that you could choose the foods that you were going to eat unlike many hostels. Clean, great service and overall fabulous hostel

I feel it’s a bit overpriced for what you get. Firstly, I don’t want to have to prepare my own breakfast, this is the only hostel I’ve stayed in Laos that doesn’t provide a cooked breakfast and only the ingredients. There’s always a line of people waiting to make their breakfast. The doors of the dorm rooms SLAMS shut and of course backpackers are not considerate enough to close the door slowly. I was woken up early in the morning multiple times by someone going in and out. When I checked in I asked for a bottom bunk but was told that the room was full but I was taken to the room the same time as another person who got the bottom bunk. He stayed only 1 night while I stayed 2? Seems like an easy change to make if they were willing to. Having a drink ticket for each night you stay is nice but I really wasn’t impressed with the coffee. Holy smokes the mosquito infestation is intense; in the bathroom, showers, hallway, and rooms. The bed was comfortable but the pillow was lumpy, I woke up the next day with a sore neck. You get a locker next to your bed which is convenient along with a bed light and outlet. There’s ice water available to drink all day which is nice and the location isn’t far from the night market. All things considered, I probably wouldn’t stay here again.
