7 Stars Inn & Riverside Restaurant

I got stuck in Pohnpei for a week with ear block and stayed at the 7 Stars Inn. All the staff were very kind and took great care of me. The restaurant was also great for coffee and their tuna and veggie omelettes. The room was cozy, and the entire establishment was clean and well cared for. A car is available to rent if you ask the front desk. Super easy. They’ve got everything you need and more. If you’re a picky traveler looking for a resort experience, keep searching. If you’re a weary traveler grateful for a warm meal, a safe place to rest your head, and an authentic experience close to the local island culture of Pohnpei, you’ll enjoy it. Thank you so much! 💚

Would avoid this hotel for a sketchy incident we had! Wrote them an email to book a room (like all hotels in micronesia, everything is done by email or phone calls) and they said they had availability. But in order to book the room, it was required to pay in advance via paypal. When we got to the hotel, the booking wasn't real and in order to get the last room, we had to pay again. We realised way too late that the hotel's email address which answered was not the one we actually wrote to and ignored the red flags for the paypal payment and got scammed out of $400. It was our mistake that we paid a scammer online but the hotel's behaviour after this incident was a bit strange. After confronting them about their hacked email a few days later (initially we thought, it was purely our mistake that we had used the wrong email but it was an elaborate scam of answering from a very similar email to the hotel's original and deleting our email sent to the correct address), they said they are aware of this and we were not the first guests to get scammed. But that they cannot and will not do anything to fix the problem of guests getting scammed while trying to book a room in their hotel due to their hacked email. That it was not really their responsibility and that they are not liable for that. The most suspicious part was the manager ignoring us for the rest of the stay even though she promised to show the IT guy the hacked emails and all the other evidence as well. This made us suspicious if this might have been an inside job and we felt very uneasy staying at the place for the remainder of the days but were too frustrated to try to book a new hotel for the third time.

Got scammed while trying to book the hotel. Their email address in Hacked and hotel sadly refused to take any responsibility. Would not recommend 😕

Mikey was one of the best hosts ive ever seen! He went above and beyond to take care of our needs and his generosity carried over to the next island we visited. Beyond amazing and he deserves 8 stars gor his service and more importantly his kindness. 11 out of 10 would recommend! Thank you Mikey and hope to see you again!!!!

Went for a quick lunch, ordered from the breakfast menu and got a yummy plate of tapsilog and four seasons juice to go with.

Very odd experience regarding trying to make a reservation at this hotel. No payment link or payment through PayPal goods and services. Wanted either crypto currency or gaming credits that triggered a potential fraud warning. I offered to pay by PayPal goods and services but was told that they can’t withdraw the money unless it’s by friends and family which is bizarre. Unfortunately, did not manage to make a reservation despite conversing for many weeks.
