Orion City Hotel

Based on my experience with several hotels, the overall impression was positive. Rooms were generally clean and tidy, and higher-floor rooms offered stunning views of Colombo, including the Lotus Tower. Staff were warm, friendly, and highly professional, especially the front desk staff and restaurant servers who were attentive and helpful. The hotel's location was convenient, with tight security, easy parking, and restaurants and convenience stores downstairs. However, the food service was lacking, with instances of incorrect or delayed deliveries, and the breakfast quality could be improved. Some gym equipment was damaged and unrepaired, and details in the bathrooms, such as the clarity of the glass windows, needed improvement. Overall, it offers good value for money and is suitable for both business and leisure travel; I recommend staying here.

I can't recommend this hotel. Poor location (unless you're working in the building or attending a cricket match). Some of the older staff were very friendly, however the two young ladies at the front desk had very poor customer service. There was also a very strange experience where one of these front desk (receptionist) ladies came into my room while I was inside! She quickly closed the door and then ran back down the corridor. I've read another review from a guest who said they had items stolen from this hotel, very dodgy! I wonder if this receptionist was also trying to steal from me... Overall, not a great experience for a hotel trip. This hotel was expensive, bad location and poor receptionist staff. I stayed in March and it was very very quite, almost no one was ever in the restaurant. The rooms were okay and the cleaning staff were very professional and nice so that's something. Overall I couldn't recommend staying at this hotel.

Very cool hotel! Located on the 19th floor of a skyscraper. Staff was very friendly and welcoming. They also have a huge grand piano in the main lobby. Very cool
