It’s mostly fine. The one big issue, and why I cancelled all my bookings after the first night, is noise. The lockers and doors close like a gunshot, because of the locking mechanisms (the springs in the locker doors and the lock itself in the entry doors). So when people come in after you, it’s just bad, combined with the sound isolation. It also gets pretty hot. That being said. The folks at reception were really pleasant, the breakfast was great, and welcome card for public transport is great. But be aware the noise is definitely bad compared to other hostels. I feel it’s also not that hard of a fix… soft stoppers in the lockers and just jam these dumb hallway doors open so they don’t close with noise.

This is hands down the most pathetic and rude receptionist I have ever encountered. They completely ignore you. They charged me for six days of access, yet I couldn't get a single bar of Wi-Fi signal in my room. To make matters worse, when I complained, their only response was, 'We can't do anything.'"

Friendly staff at the counter and everything was very clean. The tram stop being directly opposite was incredibly convenient; you could reach the city center in 10-15 minutes, and a tram ticket was included for stays of two nights or more! Breakfast was only served until 9 am, but you just have to be prepared for that.

Good spread for breakfast

I spent five nights in a four-bed room. The room was in good condition, no complaints there. Breakfast was very good. However, I was disappointed that the Wi-Fi didn't reach the room and was limited to about 350 kbps. That's not even enough to watch videos. The staff were all very friendly. I would also like to see the option of paying by card, so that not everything has to be paid in cash.

My friend and I stayed two nights in this hostel and we highly recommend it! ✅ It's excellent value for money! Honestly, the hostel's rating isn't justified! It's a hostel, not a 5-star hotel! For a short stay and budget travel, it's perfect! 👌 The hostel is nice, very calm and quiet, with comfortable spaces on sofas for individuals or groups, a reading area, foosball, a kitchen, a dining room… You can store your belongings in a communal fridge (you have to label your things, but no one took anything from us, no problems there). So many positive points, more than adequate! A few minor drawbacks, but nothing too serious. The receptionist and the woman we spoke to on the phone were incredibly friendly and took the time to explain things in English if you don't speak German. It's just inconvenient that you have to pay with coins if you want to cook, and you also have to pay for your stay in cash! The only thing I don't understand: it's a youth hostel, yet there are parents with children and elderly people staying there… A baby cried during the night in another room, and we could hear everything; the soundproofing is very poor… Also, I thought reception closed at 9 pm, but some girls arrived in our room at 10:20 pm…

I can wholeheartedly recommend this youth hostel. I simply cannot understand the bad reviews. It's spotlessly clean, and the breakfast is very good for a youth hostel. If you're a family staying in a four-bed room, you even have your own bathroom with a shower and toilet. I wasn't expecting that. Pure luxury! If you're expecting a hotel, stay in a hotel. For a youth hostel, it's fantastic. 5 stars!

I can highly recommend the youth hostel. For Innsbruck, the price is very fair, as hotels and Airbnbs are expensive. We stayed in a double room facing the Inn River, for about €50 per person. The room was equipped with the essentials, nice and bright, very clean, and wonderfully quiet, situated right by the Inn. The hostel is in a great location, with a tram stop right outside, a supermarket opposite, and directly on the Inn. The staff were very friendly and helpful. A public transport ticket was included for stays of two nights or more, and even more perks were included for stays of three nights or more. Breakfast offered few vegan options besides muesli, oat milk, and fruit.
