Maksimir Park (cruising area)

Maksimir, Zagreb's large historic park in the east of the city, is the capital's best-known and longest-standing outdoor gay cruising area. Activity concentrates in the wooded south-western sections nearest the Bukovačka-street edge (trams 4, 5, 7, 11 and 12 stop nearby), and is busiest after dark and in the warmer months. As with any public park, discretion and personal safety awareness are essential: stay in areas you can leave easily, keep valuables secure, and be aware that the park is a public family space by day. Croatia is broadly LGBTQ-safe, but common-sense caution applies at night.
