Grand Hotel Zvon

Very nice hotel, excellent service and a great location overlooking the main square.

We had a beautiful room with great views. Breakfast, do not skip breakfast.

The lady at the front desk was very nice, the room was clean, though it's clearly not new. The atmosphere is more communist-era and early '90s, rather than the glass, modernity, and opulence. It's a Czech style ;) Right in the center, with parking. The restaurant is quite small, and the breakfast is pretty standard.

Nice and quiet accommodation in the middle of the city.

The hotel, in a fantastic location right on the market square where art, culture, and music converge, is showing its age. Nevertheless, everything was very clean. Perhaps it was because we were there at the end of the holiday season, but we didn't feel entirely welcome. The car lift, integrated into the old building, was impressive and made parking truly convenient. The overall impression was okay, but we probably won't return because the atmosphere was a bit cold.

The term "Grand Hotel" is open to interpretation, and of course it's not comparable to, for example, a Grand Hotel Heiligendamm or similar establishments. But everyone should be able to tell that from the price alone. Nevertheless: an interesting blend of old style and new elements. Beautiful architecture and a prime location.
