Hotel Lille City

The hotel's location is perfect, but the rooms are really not great, especially the shower cubicle… what a shame

Very good hotel, well located in the center of Lille. The staff was very welcoming and gave me early access to my room even though I just wanted to drop off my luggage… the room was clean and quiet, and I even slept with the window open without any problem… and regarding access, I don't understand the bad reviews; the gallery is lit up at night…

Hotel feels a bit sketchy. Rooms are badly maintained, especially bathrooms: with no functioning ventilation nor windows, the only way to get rid of shower condensation is opening the door to the bedroom, which causes visible humidity damage to the ceiling there. Shower doors were missing parts of the sealing list. Shower head was a despicable "water saver" that managed to be terribly noisy; never seen before, hopefully never will again. Plenty mold in the shower box. Breakfast is ok, though the room it is served in is cramped. The big value, of course, is the location.

Family rooms were so-so, dirty and full of trash from the previous family. Service was adequate and breakfast was at home but satisfactory. The best point is the location, even if the building isn't very inviting from the outside.

Despite an ideal location, the quality of the rooms needs improvement!

Poor value for money

Looking for a no-frills, inexpensive, and ideally located room? Look no further! For a night under €50 in the heart of the city center, it's unbeatable, with no compromise on quality. What's the secret? I have no idea!

Located in the heart of Lille, the location is excellent. Even though the hotel doesn't have its own parking, there's a public car park just a short walk away, perfect for a weekend getaway and exploring the city. The room we rented was very small, as was the shower room, and it faced a wall; one night was enough. The bedding was comfortable, the hallway was a bit noisy, and we didn't try the breakfast, preferring to have it at a café.

The welcome was very friendly and pleasant. Breakfast, although not included in the room rate, was good, high-quality, and varied. However, it seemed to me that the room's amenities could be improved. The location is perfect, with direct access to the city center.
