Il Tom's Bar sulla Motzstraße è operativo dal 1976, rendendolo uno dei locali gay più longevi di Berlino. In una città che già negli anni '70 stava sviluppando una distintiva scena gay, il Tom's si è affermato presto come un cruising bar per uomini — e il suo carattere non è cambiato fondamentalmente in 50 anni. Il locale si sviluppa su più livelli, con il darkroom nel seminterrato come elemento distintivo. La clientela è prevalentemente maschile gay, tende verso il mondo bear, leather e un'estetica maschile, e vanta una significativa percentuale di avventori abituali che frequentano il locale da anni. Il Tom's Bar è uno degli ancoraggi di ciò che resta della scena cruising di Schöneberg — una tradizione che era molto più estesa nell'era pre-AIDS ma che il locale ha mantenuto attraverso i tempi che cambiano. Per i visitatori alla ricerca del legame storico diretto con la scena gay di Berlino degli anni '70 e '80, il Tom's Bar è uno dei pochi collegamenti fisici rimasti. Non è un'attrazione turistica ma un locale attivo — e la distinzione è importante.

Absolutely stunning experience at this amazing hotel. I felt welcomed the second I got in as greeted by the amazing Amir. Such a gorgeous human being who has a killer smile. Room is clean n comfy. Location is just PERFECT Lots of restaurants , bars, cruising n everything you would really need including but not limited to groceries/ barber n pharmacy. A must to stay here. Book in advance as hotel seems sold out majority of the times ( which makes complete sense) as wanted to extend for additional few nights but I could not. But I’m glad I had the experience there during Easter and the leather kinky week. It was heaven on earth. Cross the road an amazing cafe for drinks n freshly baked cake / great for socializing too ( Romeo and Romeo).

The best hotel in the world. There are tons of rainbow-themed bars, clubs, shops, and other amenities just steps away. I even bought some amazing swimming trunks in one of the shops. Overall, a wonderful hotel in a wonderful location in Berlin.
