Well, let me put it this way... The restaurant has its charm, but that's about it. The food is basically just fried chicken, and every salad costs extra. So, in conclusion: Go there once, and that's enough.

A true Berlin original that must never close. Seven years ago we were inside – yesterday we were in the lovely beer garden. The original milk-fed chicken is divine. The service is incredibly friendly and welcoming. Be sure to ask for the "Henne Book" – it contains interesting background information about the history and features great pictures.

A charming, historic restaurant with a lovely garden under shady trees. The chicken is excellent. It's great that you can eat it casually with your hands here. And the chocolate pudding is simply delicious.

Honestly: What more could I want than crispy chicken, coleslaw, and a dark beer? That's precisely why Die Henne has been a Berlin institution for decades—no frills, no fuss, just that special old-Berlin charm that's so rare these days. The chicken is perfectly crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside, and together with the legendary potato and coleslaw, it's exactly why you keep coming back. I've been coming back for 25 years ;-) Add to that the wonderfully rustic atmosphere on Leuschnerdamm, as if time simply moves a little slower here. You sit surrounded by history, Berlin characters, and people who know exactly why they keep coming back. The outdoor seating is lovely too! And what makes this place even more special for me: the incredibly friendly service. Warm, attentive, and always making you feel instantly welcome. Thank you for always somehow finding a table for us.

Absolutely love Henne! This historic beer hall has got the whole family hooked - we're already planning our next visit. The atmosphere's spot on, with rustic wooden tables and twinkling lights creating a lively vibe. Our favourite dish was their legendary roast chicken; crisp on the outside and juicy within. The beer selection's vast, but my husband enjoyed his Weihenstephaner whilst I sipped on a refreshing Berliner Weiss. Great value for money, considering the quality and quantity of food served. One minor downside: the place can get pretty busy, so be prepared for a bit of a wait. Still, we highly recommend popping in for an authentic taste of Germany.
