Rosa Strippe e.V.

Rosa Strippe is Bochum's queer counselling and support association, at Kortumstraße 143 near the Hauptbahnhof. It has worked in the city since 1980; the WAZ covered its 45th anniversary in December 2025. It offers psychosocial counselling for lesbian, gay, bi, trans and inter people and their families, plus self-help groups. There are groups for young people, trans people, lesbians and older queer people, and the "Freiraum" youth café for under-25s. It's also a good first contact if you've just moved to the Ruhr.
