Very satisfied. We went there spontaneously on a Friday. If you arrive right after opening (5 pm), there always seem to be a few seats available without a reservation. The portions were huge and absolutely delicious. The staff was very friendly! The price isn't exactly a bargain, but the quality is outstanding – we'll definitely be back!

If you want to eat schnitzel in Cologne, you can't miss this place. There were two of us, and we ordered the "Grandma Paula" and the Jägerschnitzel, among others. The portions are, let's just say, quite generous: the schnitzels hang loosely over the edge of the plate, two per portion, golden brown and juicy inside. The breading is crispy and not oily, which is quite an achievement given the size. The sauces come separately in small pitchers, so nothing gets soggy; the bacon and onion version was perfectly seasoned. The side salad was fresh, crisp, with sunflower seeds and a pleasantly subtle dressing. Not just a decorative salad, but a real one. The Kölsch arrived reliably and ice-cold, and our waiter, Lasse, handled the table expertly without being intrusive. The ambiance is also great: cozy, a bit old-fashioned, with framed sayings on the wall – "Thirst is worse than homesickness" brought a smile to our faces. In conclusion: Highly recommended. Reservations are definitely worthwhile; the place is deservedly packed. We didn't have a reservation and had to wait 15-20 minutes, which we happily passed with a Kölsch… And come hungry.

Service and meat quality were excellent. However, only dishes from the summer menu were available, not the regular menu as advertised online. Furthermore, the constant mist spraying from the restaurant onto the entire sidewalk was bothersome.
