Aidshilfe Essen e.V.

Aidshilfe Essen e.V. is the city's HIV and sexual-health charity and a hub for queer community support. From its base on Varnhorststraße in the Ostviertel it runs HIV and STI testing, counselling and harm-reduction services, along with community programmes including trans* support and offerings for older LGBTQ+ people. It is the go-to local organisation for testing, information and connection.
