Dorint Charlottenhof Halle (Saale)

I was traveling on business with colleagues and stayed at the Dorint Hotel. It was my first time there, and I was really pleasantly surprised. The hotel is easily accessible on foot from the main train station. The atmosphere was very pleasant, the service was good, and the room was spacious. The lady on the phone saved us at the last minute because our original hotel was overbooked, and we had nowhere to stay due to various trade fairs and festivals in Leipzig.

A good city hotel in Halle/Saale. Located close to the train station (within walking distance). The room furnishings are a bit dated, but the rooms are relatively large. Breakfast is good, and the staff is attentive.

I can only say, be careful when choosing a room. I really relied on the photo, which showed a room with a great bathtub and high-quality furnishings. This picture is totally misleading, and the room I booked was a complete disappointment. The price, including breakfast, was over €150 per night. I wasn't expecting a suite, but a room where I could feel comfortable. What I found was a room that was completely run-down. A ripped bed frame, black grout, rusted bathroom fixtures, a dusty mirror, countless fingerprints on the front door, thick dust on the TV, and a bottle of lukewarm water greeted me. Nothing was right; it was disgusting. It's a real shame, as it was supposed to be a nice night for my 50th birthday. My husband and I were completely ruined; we absolutely cannot recommend it. Breakfast was okay, except that the staff was constantly busy restocking the restaurant with flower vases, making it incredibly noisy. We definitely won't be coming back.

The hotel is located very close to the main train station. The city center/old town is just a few minutes' walk away. The staff are friendly and helpful. The furniture in the room is a bit dated. The bathroom is clean and functional. The breakfast buffet offers a wide selection of food. The hotel is well-suited for a short break.
