Motel One Hamburg

Great motel. It's wonderful that breakfast is offered; that's not always a given in a motel. I can certainly understand that there's no scrambled eggs, etc. A big thank you to the breakfast staff member... I think his name was Sebastian. Very friendly. I'd gladly stay again.

Very nice hotel, lovely soft beds and bathrooms. Admittedly, the rooms are smaller than standard rooms, and the bathroom is smaller as well. The reception staff is very friendly and efficient. The breakfast buffet offers a good selection; only scrambled eggs are missing. Sights are easily accessible on foot. Subway, bus, and tram stops are nearby.

Very centrally located, clean rooms (a bit small but adequate), nice bar, organic breakfast items from Bavaria – excellent, would gladly stay again. Very friendly staff! Best regards, Patrick

A good hotel that is well located for the old town and Speicherstadt. Easy to get here by train S1 from the airport. 20-30 min walk to st.pauli. Good service and nice people at work, albeit a bit overzealous cleaners who try several times in the morning. Remember to hang the card about this on the door. The rooms are as many write small, but not so small that it is a problem. Not much space to spare, but new, clean and nice rooms. Fresh bathrooms too.

The location was fantastic, and the view was great too. The room was modernly furnished, however, the bathroom felt like a sauna after showering, even though the temperature was below 37 degrees Celsius. That was a bit of a shame. What really disappointed me, though, was the breakfast. First, you sometimes have to wait up to 20 minutes, then you're seated at a cool designer chair with a tiny table where you have to eat hunched over, and then there's an Italian breakfast consisting entirely of scrambled eggs, fried eggs, or bacon/sausages. Sure, there's a lot of delicious sweet stuff, but I don't really enjoy peeling four eggs in the morning just to get my protein, especially after waiting. I imagine it's even worse for business people with appointments. So, I'd recommend having breakfast somewhere else. Otherwise, the service was incredibly friendly, there were plenty of elevators, and the dining area is actually quite good as a bar. I was also a big fan of the soap and shower gel; I always really appreciate those. It's an Italian breakfast, but I don't enjoy them. PS: Always look up; seagulls in the immediate vicinity like to add new touches to clothing.

Great location, quiet street by the canal. Very hectic around breakfast time, long waiting times at reception. Patient, friendly staff.
