Hotel Neapolis 1897, Athens – Lights and Shadows Three nights in this boutique hotel. Some things work, others less so. The bed is comfortable and the cleanliness is impeccable—two essentials that can't be taken for granted. The quiet surrounding area is a plus. Other aspects are less convincing: the room near the terrace is a bit noisy, and the in-room minibar is more of a nuisance than expected. The breakfast is disappointing for a boutique hotel at this price—a few items, but fresh and high-quality, is better. Regarding the location: those wishing to visit the Acropolis should expect that the roads are in poor condition, making walking there uncomfortable and unpleasant. It really depends on how you plan your visit. The price paid didn't seem commensurate with the overall experience. Is that better?

Very nice rooms and super friendly people who help you with anything you might need. However, there is a lot of noise on the street side in the evening and at night.

Charming stay in a great location – Highly recommended! We had a wonderful time at Neapolis 1897 Boutique Luxury Rooms. The location is simply ideal for city travelers: there are countless cozy cafes and good restaurants right in the neighborhood. Getting to the airport by public transport was also quick and easy. The hotel & the rooms: The hotel exudes incredible charm. Our room was clean and furnished with a very comfortable bed (great pillows and blankets!), which ensured a restful sleep. The spacious shower deserves special mention. While there was plenty of room in the wardrobe, we would have liked a bit more counter space in the bathroom. Breakfast & service: Breakfast is served on the 3rd floor, is perfectly adequate, and has a Mediterranean flair. A big thank you to all the staff – everyone was consistently friendly and extremely helpful. A little tip: Our room was right by the entrance, which was sometimes a bit noisy, but the nights were pleasantly quiet. Next time we visit, we'll ask for a room on the second floor. Thank you for the wonderful time – we'd love to come back!
