Library Street Restaurant

If you're looking for a break from the pub scene and want to enjoy a unique dining experience, make sure to visit Library Street Restaurant. The food is outstanding, the drinks are excellent, and the service is warm and welcoming. The restaurant is small and intimate, which creates a cozy atmosphere and makes the experience even more special.

It was serious win for me when I told the staff member I didn’t like dairy and he presented me with a dairy free menu! The absolute dream top marks!l I didn’t miss out at all, hake was stunning and totally dairy free ! I will be back

**Competent cooking, but the service needs work.** We ordered a broad selection of dishes to sample the menu, but unfortunately made it only halfway through the meal. The merguez sausage was tasty, with a pleasant level of spice. The hamachi collar was fresh and well prepared, with especially flavorful, crisp skin. The courgettes were acceptable, although the vinaigrette overpowered them somewhat. The principal problem was a series of communication and service breakdowns. Several items we ordered for the first part of the meal never arrived, including the wine we had selected to accompany the fish. At that point, we were already concerned about how the evening was unfolding. Then the venison arrived with cheese, despite our having explained our lactose allergy at the beginning of the meal and again when ordering each dish and asking whether modifications were possible. After we sent it back, our server asked how everything was going. We explained honestly that there had already been too many mistakes and that, provided the replacement venison and pork chop had not yet been started, we preferred simply to pay for what we had eaten and drunk and leave. To the restaurant’s credit, the staff recognized that we were dissatisfied and offered to comp the meal. We politely declined for two reasons: first, the food we did receive was not bad; and second, I prefer not to accept complimentary meals so that I can write reviews with complete independence. The total for four small “snack” or “bite” portions, one medium-sized plate—the hamachi collar—and two glasses of wine was €76.50. We were not charged for, and did not receive, the remaining dishes and drinks we had ordered, which likely would have brought the total to more than €200. Given the repeated mistakes, we cannot recommend the restaurant and do not plan to return. Nevertheless, we appreciated the staff’s effort to acknowledge the problems and make amends.

Absolutely incredible. Just after an unforgettable 5-course meal, all I can say is that this place is a true breath of fresh culinary air. Every dish.. from the anchovy pastry to the ceviche, the pork, and the desserts.. was a flawless bite of flavour and creativity. The service and atmosphere elevated the entire experience from start to finish. Add to that a beautiful white Rioja with the meal and a perfectly crafted Negroni to finish, it was nothing short of perfection. If you’re visiting Dublin and don’t eat here, you’re genuinely missing out. ❤️✨

I cannot believe how fantastic the food in this Restaurant tasted. I have to say it could not be better. Kinda tapas style but not really...sooooo good. Service fantastic and staff very knowledgeable. Will be back...many times...I hope.
