Borghese Palace Art Hotel

I'd read a number of negative reviews. For me, everything was great. The staff were helpful and very friendly. The room was spacious, clean, and well-maintained. The bathroom was spacious and clean. The breakfast was excellent and varied. The location was perfect. My wife and I were there for the Mario Biondi concert at the Teatro Verdi, just steps away. Piazza della Signoria is just a few minutes' walk away. I highly recommend it.

Excellent location, but unfortunately the building is a bit dated and the rooms could use some updating. Unfortunately, we found the bathroom without a shower door and with obvious signs of limescale.

Too many stars for the condition of the hotel. The room was a bit shabby, with rather old furniture. The staff were pleasant; Latifa in the café was very attentive to guests, and the reception staff were very friendly. Good location, a 15-minute walk from the train station.

Lovely and super stylish, great value for money

I stayed at this hotel for an average of €180 per night, and unfortunately, it did not live up to that price at all. The biggest issue is that the hotel feels very old and poorly maintained. The room I was given faced the street, and the noise was unbearable. I’m normally a very heavy sleeper — the kind of person who wouldn’t wake up even during an earthquake — but I was woken up three times during the night by people talking and laughing outside. It honestly felt like they were speaking right next to my bed. Even worse, there was no proper hot water. When I tried to take a shower around 10pm, the water was only lukewarm at best — actually quite cold. After a long day of walking, this was extremely disappointing. To be fair, the staff were polite and tried to help. After I reported the issue, they called me and offered free access to the sauna. However, by that point I had already taken what was essentially a cold shower, so it didn’t really solve the problem.

As soon as we entered the room, we expected a room worthy of a 4-star hotel, but it was nothing of the sort. The walls were all dirty in the bathroom, not that we would have used them, but there were no towels, not even for the hands. The furnishings were old and not at all modern, and the cabinet where the mini-bar was set was all broken with pieces of furniture that had been eaten away. It's definitely not a 4-star hotel. The service was very friendly, including Mrs. Fathia, who was very nice and always smiling. The location was excellent, but otherwise, it felt like a motel next to the train station. After the first 20 minutes, we already wanted to leave.
