Marathon Hostel Beds & Beer

I stayed here for 3 nights. The vibe in the hostel was very nice, they have a gym which was very nice. The kitchen and common rooms feel very luxurious. It was fairly clean everywhere, the only thing was that the soap in the shower was empty. The service was great, very friendly people. The receptionist offered me to move from my booked 4 person room to a bigger 5 person room which wasn't fully booked so I had more space.

We stayed one night here and were very pleased with this hostel. The room was spacious, though dimly lit, but comfortable enough. The bathroom and towels were clean. The property is very close to the train station and the city center. We especially appreciated the kindness and helpfulness of the receptionist, Mattia, who gave us lots of valuable advice.

An okay budget-stay. Beds were clean, mattress was old but okay, showers were okay. Room was quiet enough, you cannot hear much street noise but be aware they have live music and such downstairs, which shakes the whole building. Service staff was very friendly and helpful if I needed something. The place is quite humid and has obvious moisture/mold damage. The air inside is moist and smells funny. The AC was not turned on in our dormitory, so it was quite hot. I'm not regretting the stay, but I'm glad it was only two nights.

I'm really very happy :) Mrs. Mirania is smiling and very helpful. She explained and showed me everything, and the room was very clean and well-kept. :) I highly recommend it. ;)

Excellent hotel/hostel at a reasonable price, clean, tidy, helpful and friendly staff.

The people working there are very nice and the hostel is located near everything which i really appreciated. However, when we first got there we noticed that our lockers in our room were broken. 3 out of 4 lockers were not able to lock and we had to manually fix that third locker ourselves. Later on we noticed that the toilet wasn’t able to flush properly which was a problem during our whole stay. Only 1 of the 2 washing machines worked and the pin-codes to our room, bathroom and shower rarely worked. Our last night here, an unknown woman who I don’t believe we shared our room with (i’ve never seen her before) got into our room and woke me up at 04.40 by grabbing my arm while i was asleep in my bed. This was very strange and scary.
