B&B Hotel Inverness

Wonderfully fitted. Big breakfast. Staff was accommodating.

Very central, terrible cleaning, non-existent hospitality, non-interactive receptionist...

It was alright, but... The only downside is that in 25 years of traveling, we'd never experienced anything like what happened here. Despite booking through an agency and paying months in advance, they told us to leave our luggage and wait until 3:00 PM. We decided to take a walk around the city. When we returned at 6:45 PM, they told us we didn't have a room due to their computer error. We told them they could have notified us earlier. At 2:30 PM, we realized they had booked several people in the first place. They could have called us and told us the truth much sooner. In the end, they got us a hotel 2.4 km from the center of Inverness, which we had to reach by taxi at our own expense. Although they rectified their mistake, it left us dejected, angry, and devastated by their previous disregard for information, their lack of honesty and upfront communication from the beginning, and the initial shock of not knowing where we would sleep. It also throws off your plans because you have to take a taxi every time you want to go downtown, for dinner, excursions, etc., with the worry of arriving late in case there aren't any available at that moment.

TERRIBLE SERVICE!! The hotel itself is fine, clean, and well-located. My problem, and the reason for this review, is this: THEY DID NOT HONOR MY RESERVATION!! I had a confirmed reservation for a double bed, but upon arrival, they gave me a room with two single beds. (This might seem trivial to many, but it was an anniversary trip with my partner, and had we known, we would have looked for an alternative hotel.) They did absolutely nothing to resolve the issue. After I called Booking.com, they came to the room and offered me some soft drinks (like they were giving me charity), which we refused because we felt they were just making a fool of us. I repeat, the hotel is fine, but the service is appalling. Problems need to be addressed when they arise. If we can't even honor our agreements... we're in trouble.

The rooms were very clean, new, and well-lit. We were offered iced lemon-infused water at the very welcoming reception. It gets a little warm at night, so you need to open the windows. A plus: you can get takeout and dine at the hotel, which lends you cutlery. The only downside: no parking, but there's plenty nearby. The hotel is well-located, close to restaurants and shops. The staff is very friendly.

Very friendly service. The breakfast was very extensive with many products. Everything in our room was very well cleaned.

The location is absolutely perfect. So many places nearby be it restaurants or shops for any food. Ideally located for excursions and the train station. The staff were all lovely from our first night right up until we checked out. Everything was clean and comfy and had everything we needed. I understand when paying for certain hotels it’s not always possible to have a fridge as that would’ve been ideal for us personally. The only slight thing that let the room down was the lack of places to dry towels or hang coats as we used the coat hangers for our clothes. A few more hooks in the bathroom or one on the door would be ideal but we will definitely be using this hotel company again

Very centrally located hotel. Very clean. Very comfortable beds. We didn't have breakfast, just accommodation, but there was a good atmosphere in the dining room and it was pleasant; Ibis hotel style. Young and very friendly staff. Quiet hotel. With tilt-and-turn windows. There was no wardrobe in the room, just a cabinet with hanging rails and hangers; very practical. Very spacious triple room. Good bathroom. If we return to Inverness, we will stay here again. Thank you

Great stay for 2 nights. Room had a decent size with a decent window. Centrally located. Bathrooms were clean. They don’t have a refrigerator in the room so storing any leftovers won’t be possible. The service was mediocre, we noticed that the same person who checked us in also seem to be the barista making an order for another customer, while cleaning and maintaining the bar. One of the nights we had a query that we wanted to clarify with the reception however we were not tended to for 5-10 mins since the person was busy with another customer who had ordered drinks. 4/5 just for the location and cleanliness of the place. Would definitely stay here again.
