Hostel Fine Belgrade

We were there for a weekend trip, and it was a great experience — our second time staying there. The host is really friendly and helpful. The rooms are clean, and the location is perfect. The first time, we booked a room with a private bathroom, and this time, we had one with a shared bathroom. Both times, the bathrooms were clean. Great value for the money!

Some of the staff were extremely rude, unhelpful and even threatening. We booked this place because the advert says it had a shared kitchenette, but this was a lie and it did not. The staff is not there most of the time, which makes check-in and checkout very difficult and long. We agreed to store our luggage with one member of staff when we checked out of our room, but when we came to collect our bags a different member of staff got very aggressive with us and told us we weren't allowed to be there anymore, and they even threatened to call the police if we didn't leave immediately. When I left this exact review on booking.com, the owner replied to it with a bunch of lies (I guess to try to discredit my bad review). To be clear, we did absolutely nothing wrong, and were treated awfully.

We were in that hostel couple of times before, and everything was like fine, BUT if you book in advance, like couple months before, and they see that for that time in Beograd will be more tourists because of some concerts or event... they will just cancel you booking... surprise! Ps. After hostel response- they did sent me mail like you need to pay, but link goes to my booking, there's no option to pay... and they ignore mails where we asked HOW can we pay... after cancelling our booking, by phone they say - yeah we sent you link to bank (and btw why directly to bank account, not though booking.com?). IF I freaken got any link - I'd pay and wouldn't be so furious... and that room is now 20e more-) so funny

The overall experience fell short of expectations. Several issues marred my stay—the persistent dripping sink, unruly shower head hose, and the boiler's prolonged heating process. The room lacked ample storage for personal items, with no space designated for essentials like toothpaste and hygiene products. The once-blue walls were tarnished by unsightly black marks, and the corridor mirrored this neglect with dirty, broken walls adorned with noticeable water stains. Contrary to the hostel's claim of soundproof rooms, noise was a persistent issue. The floor's cleanliness left much to be desired, and the furniture, including the table, shelves, and closet, lacked stability. Despite the owner's assurance of a new bed, it proved as uncomfortable as a rock. Unwilling to endure these conditions, I promptly requested to leave and sought alternative accommodation elsewhere. Regrettably, I cannot recommend this place. Investing a bit more for better accommodation seems advisable.

A quiet place, perfect to stay for one-two nights. Rooms, toilets and showers are clean. They also do registration. Check out before 10. Administration is polite. And it is very comfortable to walk to the city centre.
