The Grup de Lesbianes de Girona (GLG) is a lesbian association founded in 1996. It grew out of the women's group of the Front d'Alliberament Gai de Catalunya. It works on lesbian visibility and activism and runs a regular programme that includes a monthly LGTBIQ+ reading club, social afternoons (tardeigs), general assemblies and cultural events. Most activities take place at the shared Espai LGTBI de Girona, Carrer del Torin 8. Many events are in Catalan. Dates are posted on the group's Facebook page, which is the place to check before going.

I'm a neighbor on Torín Street. We've been telling them for months that there are sick people in these apartments and that they should buy something to stop dragging chairs and tables around, but they don't listen to us… We've been dealing with this for a long time, and when we go down there, they tell us they can't afford it… It's only €10, mainly for the sick people because some of them are unable to sleep due to their illness, and with all the noise they make—parties, karaoke… It's really bad, you can't talk to them.

Space open in the afternoons from Monday to Thursday. On Fridays they usually have activities like film forums, book club or board games. There is a very good atmosphere. 😊
