Hôtel Astoria Genève

I stayed at this hotel for one night while passing through Geneva. I highly recommend it. The staff are welcoming, friendly, and helpful. The bedding is comfortable. The rooms are very clean.

Great location near the trains. The bed is a little small, but otherwise it's fine.

I was able to reserve a room at the last minute for the same day on Booking.com after having some issues with a previous place I was staying at. I spent one night there and everything was great. The room was spacious, clean, and very comfortable. The service was great as well, and the hotel is well located, right in central Geneva. Everything was very easy, and after a previous stressful experience, I was very glad I came here, I fully recommend it!

Excellent location

This is my second time choosing to stay at this hotel. The reception is very friendly, there's an elevator, it's close to a supermarket, many restaurants nearby, a 5-minute walk from SBB station, it's quiet, has a beautiful view. They don't provide toothbrushes, but if you forget, just ask and they'll give you one right away. It's only a 7-minute train ride from the airport, which I appreciate. The price is very reasonable. I will definitely come back many more times.

Basically a Scam. Avoid at all costs. Extremely Dishonest staff. Reserved for 3 nights. Shortly after checkin, realized I had to cut the stay short and stay only one night.Went back to reservation online and made the modification to checkout the next day: received a confirmation saying no charge, no penalty and only first night will be charged (normal). On checkout the next day, they told me they were billing the second night. Manager was very rude..didnt care about the system confirmation I showed him and threatened to charge me the third night. Felt very unconfortable and left. Next day saw the charge for 3 nights. Dishonest. Visa chargeback will take care of them. Update: Visa got all my money back. Police complaint was filed and police sent me an email confirming having visited the hotel and explained the law to the manager. Room was dirty. Found hairs on toilet bowl whose cover was broken. This is a 2 stars not a 3 stars Reason for leaving (staff knew): room was giving me Athma because of all the dust in the carpet.

It was a best best stay in geneva Location was awsome in the heart of geneva cornavin,metro statio,bus stops and train station just only 2 mins walk away I love the vibe of downtown from the window of Astoria hotel Staff was welcoming and helpful but 1 employee from the morning staff was very rude But i didn't let his behaviour to affect my stay. 100%recommended

This is the hotel I use every time I come to Geneva, a few times per year. I just picked it because of the cost, which is expensive, but for Geneva standards is the best we can find. And location is very convenient. Good thing is they allow early check-in if room is fixed, but they don't allow even one hour late check out, claiming the hotel is full, but it is clear it is not, so it's obviously a excuse. The rooms are very old, very small, old furniture, lack of good options on TV, very poor Internet quality in case you need to manage large files, very small WC. Some rooms are so small that they look like jail cell. Breakfast is also very limited in quality. The staff depends a lot, some shifts are nice, some others are really unpleasant. Luckily most are nice. So, being honest, if you can afford to pay more, go for other alternative. Unfortunately I will probably keep using it, because of the price, and for me, alone, to work, it's enough.
