The Fountain Inn

I love this place. My go to when staying in Birmingham. The staff and management are great, friendly, polite, and helpful. The rooms are really nice and comfortable with luxury bathrooms. The bar has a beautifully kept courtyard garden and has 'extra' facilities which are great fun.

Stayed there in the 1990s, returned in 2025 and pleased I did. Great value, you’re not paying for unwanted frills. Kind people. Yes there may be a little noise from the pub below at night, but you know it will stop and I slept through. It’s a friendly crowd there and I simply joined them for a few hours. Easy walking distance for multiple attractions.

Another great visit to this friendly pub with rooms. The bar was quiet despite it been a Friday unusual but the weather had turned for the worse. The room was as it always is spotless with comfortable bed, and got shower in the wet room. The coffee station is always a welcome especially in the mornings. It’s also good to get to speak to people when you travel alone. Chris and Jon were their usual cheerful characters in no longer Batman and owner now friends. Cheap ish parking on The road outside.

Excellent stay and good value for money Great bathroom with wet room.shower Comfy bed and lovely bedding Refreshment station with a large selection of teas, coffee, hot chocolate outside the room to help yourself...a great idea guys! Seperate entrance to pub with 24 hour access. The hosts were very friendly, welcoming and helpful. The room and bathroom were spotlessly clean. The location was great, situated in the Gay/ Chinese Quarter and an easy walk from New Street Station. If Im ever visting Birmingham again I will definately stay here again Thanks guys!

I was looking for a get away weekend from london. And as usually when I use business, as a business owner I rather give my business to my community. So was looking for a hotel online and I find fountain inn Was a very last min. I called. I think I spoke to John if I am correct Was very nice friendly and he give me the price over the phone I arrived before the bar down stairs is open and he was waiting for me. He give me a quick tour to show me the downstairs. The bar the Patio and my room. Honestly I didn’t expect much. But The room was perfect. Large size room. Very comfortable bed. Small desk for work. Lovely shower. And spotless clean. And on the same floor a nice coffee and tea area. Wi-Fi connection was not good however I had a good internet coverage so was fine. So if you looking to rent a room and not sure, it’s perfect room in a perfect location. At some point I ask the bar guy if that part, up stairs is new. Because it’s look so new and spotless. 10 stars for the rooms !! As for the bar. I guess it’s depends what you looking for. To me it’s suit perfect. If you looking for Twinks bar and sparkles it’s not your kind of bar. If you looking for a nice pub, mature guys, bears, daddies, This is the best place to be. People around was very friendly. Lovely outdoor seating area and indoor seating area, great pool table. And sat night it’s get busy. Great music. So the bar to me it was 10 stars. Suit me perfect. As for the stuff ? Mmmm I couldn’t find a 100 stars button. I would click on it if I could. Again start with John. I think he is part of the owners. Lovely guy. Friendly. Polite and helpful. Keep asking me if I need anything. Hardworking fella. I was impressed. And he catch me on way out as well to say thank you. Lovely service!!! And the bar guy. I forgot his name. What a lovely fella. So friendly and helpful. And again. Keep asking me if I need anything. Always on top of everything. Really impressive service. Overall. I didn’t know what to expect. But if you ever in the area and looking for a nice comfortable location to stay the weekend or just a drink. You must check it out. I am going back there with out a doubt. Highly recommended!!!!

Staff very polite the rooms are Very clean showers a modern and I would not hesitate to stay here again again mark French Can’t wait to stay again and tell my friends What a good weekend I had at this hotel I’m going to book next month and The manage can’t do Enough for your stay

Amazing place! Perfect location in the city centre. Greeted by friendly and attentive Chris. Room was out of this world and the wet room shower was very therapeutic. Eric and Chris treated me like family and nothing was a problem to them. Such good hearted guys,I will be back! Charlie.

First time back in Brum for 20 years. Last time I also stayed in the Fountain. Wow what an improvement! Great room at a reasonable price, perfect for the local bars and a short walk to the city centre. Definitely we will return. Thank you to the staff.
