Unprofessional waitress messing up her words whilst explaining the dishes. This carried on through-out the night.

Simply exceptional, first you eat with your eyes and then you're more than satisfied tucking in. A particular stand out must try is the Suckling Pig.

There are restaurants you enjoy, and then there are restaurants that stay with you long after you’ve left……. Chakana belongs firmly in the latter category. From the moment we arrived, every detail felt effortless. The welcome was genuinely warm, and one of the owners personally hosting guests created an atmosphere that was both elegant and wonderfully inviting. It felt less like entering a restaurant and more like being welcomed into someone’s beautiful home. The food was, quite simply, extraordinary. Every dish showcased remarkable craftsmanship, impeccable produce and flavours that transported you straight to Peru. The Tuna Ceviche is, without question, one of the finest dishes I’ve had in the UK vibrant, impeccably balanced and unforgettable. It is an absolute must-order. The cocktails deserve a standing ovation of their own. Each one was beautifully conceived, flawlessly executed and every bit as memorable as the food. Honestly, I would return purely for the cocktails❤️ Some people comment on portion sizes when dining at restaurants of this calibre, but that entirely misses the point. This is refined dining built around exceptional ingredients, many of which are incredibly difficult to source. You’re paying for provenance, technique and creativity rather than unnecessary excess. In fact, for a fine dining restaurant, I found the portions surprisingly generous and perfectly judged. You leave satisfied, not overwhelmed. The service throughout the evening was impeccable. Every member of the team was attentive, knowledgeable and genuinely passionate about what they do. There was not a single moment that felt rushed or rehearsed just sincere hospitality at its finest. If Michelin stars were awarded purely on the complete dining experience, I genuinely believe Chakana would deserve several. Every course felt like a celebration of Peruvian cuisine, elevated with extraordinary skill and presented with absolute precision. Without hesitation, this is one of the finest dining experiences I’ve ever had, and one I shall be recommending to absolutely everyone. If you’re considering a visit, do yourself a favour: order the Tuna Ceviche, Potato Stew,Chocolate mousse and of course try as many cocktails as you possibly can, and prepare for an unforgettable evening. A true gem. Five stars simply don’t feel enough.

Not as fantastic on our third visit, due to portions and pricing, though would still reccomend. Crispy Peruvian beef tartare snack was great, scallop starter a work of art but could perhaps have had slightly more scallop. The suckling pig main was the star of the show though, with some little surprise charapita chilies.

My Wife & I enjoyed the tasting menu. The food was exceptional, it included numerous different proteins and flavour profiles. We were pleasantly by surprised by foods we have not tried before. The Tuna was especially delicious with some of the best balanced flavours I have had in a dish. Whilst it is expensive it is an experience everyone should enjoy. Also they catered for our halal requirements by replacing the pork within the tasting menu with an off menu lamb dish which was also divine. This was all topped off by a very attentive service where you felt right at home.
