The Kings

Admittedly I didn't stay for long but I was told to remove my hat (or wear it backwards) so the cameras could see my face which made me feel incredibly insecure but they said nothing about my hair covering my face
wouldn’t even let us go for a wee. the worst pub i’ve ever been to. i don’t recommend. it’s pure neglect !
This is by far the worst club I’ve ever been in. DO NOT RECOMMEND! Inside it feels like a pinball machine where everyone pushes and hits you, spills your drink and nobody cares. Absolute mess.
a provincial bar that thinks it’s in the big city. i’d AVOID if you have a gram of self respect. rude bouncers too
Sounds like I had a similar experience. Staff walking around pushing shots. Inevitably stepped backward and one of the young lady’s drinks toppled on the tray. Next thing I know I’m being aggressively jabbed in the shoulder and being told “you need to pay for that”. I paid to keep the peace, but we left not long after that. Rude. Unprofessional. Place could probably benefit from a clean too, toilets were particularly grim.
Avoid if you actually want a good night. They’ve got staff walking around the packed dance floor carrying trays of Jägerbombs, constantly interrupting people to push shots. One waiter in particular (male, short blond hair) asked me at least four times in an hour - read the room, people are clearly trying to dance, not get harassed into buying drinks. The real issue came when the inevitable happened. The dance floor was crowded, I was dancing with my friends, and suddenly my back and hair were soaked - someone (possibly me, possibly not) had knocked into his tray. Which, honestly, was bound to happen given how tight the space was and the fact he was weaving through dancers with a full tray. I immediately apologised, but instead of handling it professionally, he was incredibly rude and confrontational. He started going on about how people usually pay when that happens (as if it happens often and anyone could realistically cover a whole tray in that situation), complained about his “ruined” plain white tank top, and made a snide comment about how I’ve “probably never worked in customer service.” Completely unnecessary and wrong. I have worked in customer services for years and i would never be so mean to a customer, especially since i was very apologetic from the start. Meanwhile, he was still holding the tray through the crowd and nearly spilling drinks on other people while having a go at me. No awareness, no accountability, just attitude. End result: I left with sticky, gross hair. If you’re going to have staff selling drinks on the dance floor, maybe train them to not harass customers and then blame them for accidents that are pretty much guaranteed to happen. Wouldn’t go back.
Great fun bar in the heart of Cardiff. Super friendly staff and excellent atmosphere.
