We paid £12 to enter and I’ll start by saying the music was actually really good — great atmosphere in that sense. However, as a lesbian couple, we didn’t feel particularly welcome. It’s described as a gay bar, so we expected it to be an inclusive space for the whole LGBTQ+ community. Instead, we got a lot of looks that made us feel like we didn’t really belong there, which was quite uncomfortable. It’s a shame, because the vibe and music had potential, but feeling out of place in what should be a safe and inclusive environment really impacted our experience. I hope the venue can work on making everyone within the community feel equally welcome.

Modern, large queer space with karaoke booths and comedy nights. Loved the decor and the quirky quotes in the looks. Good prices on the drinks.

Great comedy night at Betty and Jones. Excellent compare and a good mix of comedians. Nice break in the middle to grab drinks, and a really friendly crowd—thoroughly enjoyed it!

I was so excited when this bar opened in E&C and have had some really fun times here… the music quiz on Monday and Saturday nights are worth a visit. My only complaint would be that it seems to empty out so early on Saturdays, which is sad as it has a lot of space and potential to be a popular late night venue, but not sure what the venue can do to entice people to stay longer…
