Great place, clean rooms, close to the castle

This pub is a real gem. The staff are warm and invting, the room is impeccable and perfectly appointed. The pub and beer garden are a delightful addition to the atmosphere and charm. The food is piping hot and delicious, plus, a great breakfast menu included. Perfectly located near the town center and castle. Good selection of ale. Would not stay anywhere else after this visit here.

We were very unlucky. Restaurant very busy, 30 minutes before order taken a further hour before receiving food and then the dish I had ordered from the specials menu was completely different- should have been char grilled courgettes etc but presented with what looked like 4 pear halves from a tin, pecans and a drizzle of something. Not something I would have ordered. Did they think I would have forgotten what I had ordered? I pointed out the mistake and was told the special had changed and they hadn't updated the menu. Fair enough but surely the waiting staff should have pointed this out. The outcome was I ordered something different from the starter menu and we were only charged for my partner's meal and our drinks. I certainly wasn't going to pay the obligatory 10% service charge. This was a real shame as several people have pointed out how good this restaurant usually is

Rooms were reasonable, however the heating had been left on which in 30 degree weather was a bit of a shame. The staff were overall nice, but it wasn't a massively welcoming atmosphere. We booked for the Sunday roast, as the reviews were so good, but were really disappointed. The location is great, as walking distance from the centre and the castle. For the overall price and the experience we got, we wouldn't stay here again.

We came into your restaurant on Saturday for dinner and drinks. I just wanted to say it was some of the best food we have experienced in a pub atmosphere in UK. Staff were also very friendly and helpful. The Chicken Pie and mash was excellent. Others had the Ham and eggs and various small plates (which are not that small). Although sadly there was no Guinness 0.0 we were offered Peroni alco-free and an IPA 0.0 both of which were excellent. We will definately drop in again on next Warwick visit

Absolutely amazing place,staff are very helpful and polite. Rooms are immaculate and the breakfast is fantastic, great choice on the menu . Would definitely recommend 👌

Won Sunday lunch here in a local charity raffle. Didn't know this place was here and have to say it was delicious. Staff were fab, food lovely - especially the desserts which they kindly let us swap for the wine as we were both driving. We'll be back. Thanks also from Friends of Hastings House for the prize donation - the raffle raised > £300 on the night thanks to all the great prizes on offer 👏
