Basement Manchester

The sauna has good facilities. I arrived at midnight on a Saturday, the place wasn't very crowded. It wasn't packed, but there were some interesting people there. The crowd included people of all ages. Shortly after arriving, I lost my phone; luckily, another customer found it and handed it in at the reception, and the staff promptly returned it to me. I felt the environment was safe and the people were polite.

I've been there quite a few times now. I became a member back in June 2024. I've had to edit this post because the price has changed. Membership is still £5, but entry between 12 and 1 pm, Monday to Thursday, is now £13, rising to £18 after. I advise checking their website for the Friday, Saturday and Sunday prices. Sometimes it can be quite busy and other times very quiet, it all depends on what time you go there. I only go in on Wednesday now, between 12 and 1pm, because the entry is cheaper than the weekend rate, which also applies to Friday. Also, if you're a registered student with a card, you can get in for free, after 6pm on Wednesday. So you can hook up with some younger lads. I have been on a Saturday (it was my birthday, so I got a free entry), but it didn't start to liven up until the clubs started to empty, around 2am, and then it got a bit too busy. I've also been on a Sunday. Sundays are popular with the puppy brigade with loads of people walking around in dog and fox masks. It's not my thing at all, plus it got really packed and most of the cubicles were taken over by puppy people. But, whatever floats your boat. If you do go on a Sunday, I recommend taking a squeaky ball or something. The staff are very friendly, especially the ones at the bar and I've had several conversations with the guys in reception when it's been quiet. They do clean the cubicles when they can, but if it's busy it can be difficult for them. It should be noted that some of the cleaning staff are not gay, so patrons shouldn't flaunt it in their faces or be disrespectful. All in all it's a nice place with a friendly crowd and you're pretty much guaranteed to hook up with a like minded soul. It's well worth a visit if you're in Manchester.

Friendly staff and spotless. A lovely bar area and relaxing jacuzzis and excellent sauna and steam room. One negative no lock on the sling room door very annoying as it won't stay shut a simple fix. Other than that it's a great place for an afternoon. Definitely would recommend.

My favourite gay sauna so far. The place is massive. Lots of space for everything - chilling out, cruising, playing. The spa area could do with some expansion but it's not crowded either. Drink prices very reasonable. Great time on every visit. One of the reasons sometimes I wish I lived a bit closer to Manchester :-)

Was OK for a Saturday afternoon. Dry Sauna shut for some reason but some nice guys in there. No problems with the other facilities in there. Staff welcoming on arrival and reminded that l had to renew my membership

First time visiting the basement sauna in Manchester.. The sauna is very large, with many rooms, clean, and fully equipped.

visited the Sauna multiple times always had a great time, especially at pride. Great mix of people never disappointed.
